We Reached Our Goal!

4

Dear Jack Foundation is extremely proud to announce that Team Jack’s Mannequin reached the goal of raising $100,000 dollars for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Light the Night Walks.  This is the second year in a row we’ve been able to make a tremendous impact and show our support for LLS and the work they do.  We absolutely couldn’t of done it without you! So a big thank you to all the Team Captains, Walkers and Fundraisers.  It’s humbling to see everyone come together and support Jack’s, DJF, and LLS.

Because of your efforts, we were once again awarded a National Team Aware and a Grant.   This year’s Grant was in honor of our close friend Matt Cwiertny who we lost this year.  The plaque reads:

“The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is pleased to support the research of Dr. Michael Farra in loving memory of Matthew Cwiertny. Jack’s Mannequin & their fans volunteerism and support of the LLS mission makes a significant difference in the lives of blood cancer patients.”

Stay tuned in the next few weeks as we announce the 2010 Light the Night Walk Incentives and walk dates!!!

More to come. Spread the word!

YAY! Congrats!! :) I’m so happy to hear such great news. I saw Jack’s Mannequin in concert yesterday here in Pittsburgh. Been a huge fan for the past few years, including Something Corporate! I’ve actually been through a similar experience. My platelets and red blood cells dropped, thought I had leukemia, got a bone marrow biopsy. Ended up it wasn’t leukemia, but a rare disorder than depletes both platelets + red cells. Had to have many transfusions, but I’ve been healthy for 2 years now, and feeling great!!! Your music has been a true inspiration, and has helped me through many similar hard times. Keep on working at what you love!!!!!!
